Task 5.
ОтветитьУдалить1 - Music interprets emotions and people’s feelings with the help of particular sounds and words. We can find a great sense in music. There are emotions beyond words really.
2 – I understand that statement as there is a particular norm in our society. There always will be an employer and employee. That is really the way our world works. Someone is superior and someone is subordinate.
3 – That thought characterize Catherine as a weak person, who will not strive to something if she is on a slope metaphorically. I disagree with that statement because I am sure that you can solve any problem, you can find the way out of any difficult situation, and you cannot give up. On the slippery slope you must always try to go up.
4 – Something is always cause something. That is not only about natural disasters. It is just about our life. All our actions cause particular consequences.
5 – That phrase was said by Miss Bingham. It is characterized her as a very experienced person. I agree with her because I think that every lesson you should learn by yourself. People cannot teach you do something right or wrong. It is your choice and you learn on your mistakes how to do things right.
Task 3.
ОтветитьУдалитьThe conflict between Catherine and her mother is created by the writer on 88-91 pages. Her mother was against Catherine's passion for music. She didn't understand how she could give up a good job teaching.
From the dialogue from pages 92-95 is about Catherine's depression. It's a talk about her bad feelings. She felt bad no matter what happened. And she was feeling not too bad until Dad's death. And since she took anti-depressants again.
Degonskaya Polina, group 302.
Task 5.
ОтветитьУдалить1 - But that's what music was - emotion beyond words.
This statement is closely connected withthe main idea of music - to influence on the minds of men, to wake his emotions and sences up. And so the music itself is made from one's emotional experience which a composer confined into notes.
2 - Why d'you always think they must be an employer? - It's the way the world works.
Employer is a person who employs people. He admits someone new to a work. We can understand it as a metaphor because everyone in his own world admits others to his or her body, fellings, ideas and personal life in general. So, each of us can be "an employer" in a certain situation.
3 - On a slippery slope the only way was down.
When everything is going wrong it's very hard to improve something. But personally, I'm absolutely sure that when one's life looks like a slippery slope it's a brilliant chance for he or she to show his own will power and emotional stength. So, I cannot agree that the only way for a men is down.
4 - An earthquake in one department created tidal waves in others.
Everything in our life is interconnected. Our growing up is accompanied by black and white stripes. And when you have problems at work it influences you, so you are constantly in a bad mood, stressed and irritated. That`s the result that your problems are growing as a snow ball and in the end you have troubles in all spheres of your life.
5 - Anyway lessons are learned, not taught.
That`s quite true that lessons aren`t taught. For example, children usually learn everything from the actions that their parents do. They don`t need lections in positive money habits or how to be polite with eldery people because they will learn it through their parents` examples. And that`s why the lessons should be learned, not taught.
